Eileen C. McDonnell, Chairman and CEO of Penn Mutual, has been named the Paradigm Award 2021 honoree. Presented annually during Women’s History Month, the Paradigm Award is the most prestigious award for professional women in Greater Philadelphia. Each recipient is a local businesswoman, whose distinguished professional and personal achievements embody success.
Eileen was originally recruited to Penn Mutual in 2008 as Chief Marketing Officer by Howard Fischer Associates. From there, she was appointed President in 2010, CEO in 2011, and subsequently Chairman and CEO.
Eileen is a strong advocate for diversity across the industry. When building a gender-balanced board, she looked to Howard Fischer Associates, Penn Mutual’s board and executive search firm, to help recruit diverse candidates who reflect the company’s philosophy that inclusivity and diversity generate success. This award recognizes her strategic leadership in helping Penn Mutual become a leading competitive force in the life insurance industry nationwide.
