Nearly 250 Spectra venues are getting a new senior vice president and chief operating officer of food services & hospitality in Richard Schneider.
 
In his new position he will oversee day-to-day food-related operations and develop strategic programs and operational initiatives for Spectra’s many-sized venues and events. 
 
Schneider comes over from Delaware North, where he was COO of Sportservice, a sports and entertainment subsidiary of the company. During his time at Sportservice he pioneered a guest experience program, operating and brand standards, partnerships and developed new operational strategies. 
 
“I’m delighted to join Spectra’s leadership team,” Mr. Schneider said. “With such vast opportunity in the depth and variety of our food clients, my goal is to drive the quality and value of our services, and to universally elevate the guest experience. I also look forward to improving existing programs and designing new initiatives that cultivate high-performing employees.”
 
Schneider is currently on the board of directors of the National Restaurant Association. He previously worked as COO of airport food and retail and VP of hospitality and guest services, gaming and entertainment with Delaware North, and also held positions with MGM Grand Detroit, Caesars Entertainment, and Midwest Gaming and Entertainment.
 
Spectra’s sizeable client list includes Budweiser Gardens in Toronto; Denny Sanford Premier Center in Sioux Falls, S.D.; Macon Coliseum in Macon, Ga.;
