Former Oracle VP to lead engineering team and continue aggressive hiring in Silicon Valley and Scottsdale locations

41st Parameter®, the global leader in device recognition technology for fraud prevention and digital marketing, today announced it has expanded its executive team with the addition of Stephen Van Lare as vice president of engineering. Formerly at Oracle as vice president of development for the Agile product line, Van Lare will be responsible for managing 41st Parameter’s product development efforts. He will report to chief executive officer Alan Naumann and will be based in the company’s San Jose, California, office located on Santana Row.

Van Lare brings more than twenty-five years of experience in creating product vision and roadmaps for enterprise software companies. His expertise in managing scalable engineering teams – from startups to Fortune 500 enterprises – will be invaluable as 41st Parameter continues to accelerate development of cloud-based SaaS solutions for both fraud prevention and digital advertising.

“Stephen’s global management skills will make him an integral part of our rapidly growing business, as he manages multiple departments across a number of locations,” said Naumann. “One of his goals will be to grow our development team, and continue to hire strong engineering talent here in the Bay Area. It will be great to have Stephen on board to help maximize and extend our technology for both fraud prevention and digital marketing.” Over the last nine months, 41st Parameter’s engineering team has doubled in size. The company expects to grow its development team by an additional 30% over the next six months, primarily in the Santana Row office in San Jose. Leading this growing group of talented engineers, Van Lare will maintain 41st Parameter’s agile development methodology and help strengthen efficiencies within the organization.
